NU SKIN CELEBRATES 450 MILLION MEALS BEING DONATED
TO FEED MALNOURISHED CHILDREN

PROVO, Utah—Sept. 1, 2015—Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc. today announced it has reached the milestone of 450 million meals provided through Nu Skin’s Nourish the Children initiative in order to help alleviate the plague of childhood malnutrition around the world. Since the founding of the initiative in 2002, Nu Skin’s distributors, customers and employees have purchased and donated nutrient-dense VitaMeal®* that is distributed to children worldwide.

“Our Nourish the Children initiative has allowed us to help malnourished children by providing more than 450 million meals to children throughout the years,” said Steven J. Lund, executive director of Nourish the Children. “Together, we are able to inspire a little bit of hope each day in the lives of children in need. We are grateful for the generosity of our sales leaders, customers and employees who continue to purchase and donate VitaMeal in an effort to be a force for good in the world.”

About Nourish the Children

In 2002, Nu Skin took action to address the tragedy of childhood hunger and malnutrition with the development of the Nourish the Children initiative. This innovative social enterprise applies the rigor of successful business practices to provide a consistent and growing supply of nourishing food to the world’s most needy children. This concept succeeds by developing a highly nutritious food – VitaMeal – and then motivating our sales leaders, customers and employees to purchase and donate the meals to third-party nonprofit organizations that specialize in distributing food to those suffering from malnutrition and famine.

About VitaMeal

Unlike simple grains with purely caloric benefit, VitaMeal is a nutrient-dense food scientifically formulated to meet the nutritional needs of malnourished children. Working with experts in child malnutrition in third-world countries, Nu Skin developed VitaMeal to provide essential vitamins and minerals, a balance of carbohydrates, protein, fat and fiber, and essential fatty acids required for normal brain development, skin health, and immune defense.**

In response to the immense need for VitaMeal in Malawi and China, the company operates manufacturing plants in those areas. Those plants are a boost for the local economies providing both food and jobs.
